Sunday Martin's had everything except TP, rice, beans and anything labeled "disinfectant". Dollar stores had TP, but it's dollar store TP.... feels weird. :)

My wife and I average two pounds of ground beef a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Between hamburgers, sloppy joe, beef stroganoff, chili, spaghetti, salisbury steak, tacos, etc... it goes pretty quick. :licking:

It's nice that you know the people that are raising it.

Have to laugh, with two teen boys, last year we went to two pound packs. For beef stoganoff, we use the stew beef cuts:)

Yep. Teenagers eat food like adults breath air. And they use up the TP pretty fast, too!

We have been using their groceries to go. I have an order placed for Friday. What I have been doing is starting an order just to get a scheduled time slot. I cannot get one past friday. So guess I will have to go back to going into the store.

20 lbs of ground beef would normally take us a while. We do not even do a pound a week. Mostly because my Dr. keeps telling me how bad red meat is for me.

When my mother-in-law's mother was living with them, she had dementia. She'd use a whole roll of TP in one sitting. They really had to keep an eye on her and lock up the TP. Plugged the toilet a few times. Surprised they never had to call a plumber or septic guy.

With all due respct to your MIL, with an older woman with dementia, I could understand that using so much TP "was just one of those things" due to her mental state. With a teenage boy, I have no comprehension of what is running through their head why so much TP has to be used, particularly when THEY tell us the toilet is clogged;)

That would be a fine time to teach them the fine art of plumbing...

It was more of a matter of teaching them not to be afraid of their own crap to work the plunger:laughing:

Yesterday for lunch the one boy used up close to a pound of ground beef for taco's. He's actually not a bad cook and likes working the stove. I made the mistake of taking just a little burger off him from the frying pan. Didn't realize that he put cayenne in the meat for more spice.
