Ahh, Robert and Egon. Let me expand on the can subject.
There are two kinds of beer:
a) Slug bait. We put a little in the bottom of a shallow dish to attract and kill slugs.
b) Swillin brew. Generally inexpensive, in bottles and the sort of thing that goes down the hatch in giant gulps in hot weather. This is also what you serve certain types of guests. May be in the kegerator.
c) Savorin brew. This is the good stuff. Yes, usually in bottles, or keg(sometimes homebrew kegs). Consumed with a good meal, with close friends. Mmmm.
I generally have both in the fridge and consume about equal amounts.
Sorry for the digression.....![]()
As for the taste the next day. Admittedly there is decline, but relatively speaking, nothing really tastes very good that day.
Nice drink holder!
Robert, See you are from CA, ever tried Anchor Steam? Met a fella on course many years ago and he told me about it. I think that brewery is one of the oldest micro-breweries in the States? Prohibition finished most breweries.
:
Slug bait! Ha ha ha
I
But I am now...
Drinking wine!![]()
The shame.![]()
Sam Adams will be there and I like him very much!
.....I also agree that there are two kinds of Beer. The type one brings home and then all the others!![]()
Drop by if you ever make it out west. We have about 80 wineries within a little over an hour. There are 7 or eight within 10 minutes.
That's not counting the 1.5 hour drive to Napa/Sonoma.
Our El Dorado/Amador wines are great!
I've been working in the US quite a bit this year and I have become quite fond of that brand.Hyde Park Brewery also has some nice brews to sample on jam night.
FREE beer.
For a site that has trouble with motor oil and weather discussions, we certainly do spread the love when conversation turns to beer.
Just a little off topic observation.... Back to beer talk now.
.In answer to questions, I have 2 cases left, both cans. Coors light, Mich Ultra
OK. I will cause us to have trouble with Beer Talk.
I can't stand IPA beers!
Well that is a bit strong. The bitterness is ok but I get headaches from some of the IPAs. And NO I did not drink too much of it at one time.
To put this on the correct track. Drinking IPA beer is like using Dino Oil in your tractor! There. That shall stir the pot!
Later,
Dan
