WOW...you are like a lot of us JD owners, who pit their green machines against something their machine wasn't designed to do. Although you know it and the guy next door knows your tractor is overmatched, the JD doesn't know it.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif, so it gets the job done.
For jobs like moving a heavy load and sliding it over the ground, a stoneboat is ideal. Since you likely don't have one, try folding up an old heavy plastic tarp and nailing it to the bottom of a sheet of plywood...that will help the plywood slide along the ground.
