WOW...you are like a lot of us JD owners, who pit their green machines against something their machine wasn't designed to do. Although you know it and the guy next door knows your tractor is overmatched, the JD doesn't know it.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif, so it gets the job done.

For jobs like moving a heavy load and sliding it over the ground, a stoneboat is ideal. Since you likely don't have one, try folding up an old heavy plastic tarp and nailing it to the bottom of a sheet of plywood...that will help the plywood slide along the ground.

Hey, DJLX...I dug up this old shot of my late, great 2210 with a 'snoot-full of root ball. Just thought you might like to see what your tractor's slightly bigger brother can handle. This was a 16-20" diameter pear tree felled by hurricane Isabele in '03.

I was happy when I finally got those out , 20 in all around that size, some a little bigger.....it was a lot of work....the toothbar made all the difference

Besides the paint fading its been a good tractor,
The golf course just runs right down next to my property, I may have to pull the 575 over there and see how it works out /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
