I just bought a MF 1710 TLB and was wondering if I could install a Tee to the hydraulic feed line and have both the bucket and mower deck lift work without switching the feed line back and forth. My property is mostly flat and after I cut the lawn I go back to cleaning up the property line of brush and bushes. I think a tee with the disconnects installed should work or possibly a two way manual valve. In the near future I'll remove the attachments and use the tractor mostly to cut the lawn but for the next couple months I would keep them on for the yard work. Thanks in advance.

If it is actually a MF GC1710?..... If so it should have rear "power beyond" hydraulics in place for backhoe operation... And can be used for other hydraulics with BH removed....

One does not "TEE" in hydraulics.... Almost all hydraulics are run in series and only device in use takes advantage of flow....

Not sure what you are asking because the GC 17XX series has provisions for Mid Mount Mower (MMM) already on tractor.... And is powered by 2000RPM PTO shaft off HST....

I'm new with this so some questions might not make sense. It is a 1710 TLB. There is a hydraulic hose that is either hooked up to a line going to the bucket attachment or a line going back in to the rear of the machine. I think it works the 3-point hitch. If I need to raise or lower the mower deck, that line has to be connected. It's either one or the other. They have colored wire ties on the ends so they don't get mixed up. One of the hoses has two different colored ties. One matches the bucket hose and the other color matches the line going back to the machine.

Yeh I got the GC1710 as well. Ok I think I get it, the confusion here is you're referring to a "bucket", whereas what you're meaning is the backhoe. If you say bucket, most assume you're referring to the loader.

Anyways, the problem for you is not the hyrdo lines, but rather it's the 3 pt arms being pinned up when the backhoe is attached. In order for the mower deck to fully lower, the upper lift arms on the 3 pt need to lower as well. On the GC, you could pin the deck so that it stays up when you lower your 3pt arms, but you can't do the inverse.

4quads, I'll also say mowing with the GC with all that other stuff attached, you're squishing the crap outta your lawn with that heavyass machine. My advice is, dismount the loader and hoe when mowing. Makes mowing way more enjoyable too, the machine is way more nimble with all that off it. I'd also advice you to leave the deck on all the time if you already mow with it too. The mmm deck makes for decent ballast, and also lowers your center of gravity.

I didn't realize there would be interference with the 3 pt arm and backhoe attachment. It's isn't a big deal but I just thought I could make it easier to operate the mower or backhoe. I did make sure the lines are tucked away not to get pinched. The bungee cord works.
Thanks for the info.

I just got the tractor last Friday and the grass was already 5 inches high so I just tried it out. I will play around with it this weekend and practice taking the attachment on and off. I watched a few videos and it looks pretty easy. Practice makes perfect. I ordered the oil filters kit from the dealer and will tackle that one night. I'm surprised the suction filter didn't come with the two O-Rings. I have the grease gun loaded, a bunch of rags, oil and the Permatrans fluid all lined up. I told my wife it's just a another tool (toy) for me to take care of the property. That worked. LOL
