Also, I got a youtube channel, I got a few GC related vids on there. I'm not a an expert youtuber, but maybe you'll find some things useful, so here's it:
Welcome to the GC world, I have a 1720tlb, so same as yours.
Get a cover for the fan underneath if you haven't already.
If you do any dirt work, a toothbar is quite useful.
Forks are another add on that I use a lot.
Good luck with the 1710 and hope you get many trouble free years out of it.
And welcome to TBN

It's a 2014 with 390 hours on it. It looked like it was covered by the shiney paint. It came with the slip on forks and the toothbar. I have the skid plate in a box and will be installed as I do the service. The headlight bulbs were change to LED's. I found a Kubota ROPS tool box on eBay cheap and it bolted right on. My plan is to install a small light bar (20") to the front face of the ROPS. It's 1" high so it doesn't stick above to top of the bar. If it works out, I'll put one on facing the rear when using the backhoe. The tail lights might be replaced by LED red and amber strip lights similar to the enclosed trailer lights. They can only be 5-6" long because of the bends in the ROPS. Two of each on each side, front and back. Just making "improvements" to suit my needs. The tractor is another thing to tinker with along with the quads and camper.

I checked the clearance between the 3-pt arms and the backhoe framework. There is room for the arm to move up and down without any interference. I did have to put the PTO shield to it proper position. The reason is that I want to install a 3-way, 2 position manual valve so if I have both the mower deck on and the backhoe I . I know it's unusual to have all the attachments on but there are times when I do. I do have to say that I don't look forward wrestling with those darn hydraulic fittings. 3 hands would work but the wife helped once and that was it.

The way the hydraulics is plumbed, the pressure either go to the backhoe or the 3-PT lift cylinder. I need it to raise or lower the mid mounted mower. The linkage for the mower is moved by the lift cylinder.

I just started crawling around under the tractor to see how things work, hidden grease fitting, dry bushings etc. Lots of pivot points and linkages to lube and check the general condition of the undercarriage.

Is it possible on the newer model they changed the hydraulic circuit. Yesterday afternoon I forgot the lock the deck up with the knob and when I relieved the pressure to disconnect the lines I wasn't able to raise it without re-connecting the hydraulic line. The pressure line has two different colored wire ties on it. Red and Green. That line connects to the Green line from the BH or the Red line that comes from the rear of the tractor. My intent is to use a 2-way directional valve so either the pressure goes to the BH or lift cylinder.
I ran into that problem when I first got the machine home. After reading the operator's manual and taking a closer look at the where the lines go, I figured it out. The valve should be in Monday and once mounted I'll see about changing the lines to fit better with less chance of getting pinched.
