Belarus 250 no power

Has any body ever removed the fuel injection pump on Belarus 250as:laughing:. I have all the fuel lines disconnected and the 4 nuts holding it on off. It comes out about 1/2 inch then stops. Is there sometime on the inside holding it from coming out? As always I thought this was going to be easy.

Hi rickde, I noticed your details are a little thin? It seems to be a community type thing to give a general local to where you are from, you don't have to but it lends to a community sort of feel on the forum.

Hope you get er done!

It is stopping because there is a gear on the other side of it.....You have to take the front housing off of the motor, and remove this gear. These gears are timed as well. you need to be aware of the timing of the motor. I will check the manual and get back to you.

I have a 250 AS, lots of fun, love it.

You first must remove the tactometer sender, then the aluminium cover. This should get you to the gear clocking ring. TAKE PICTURES, and write down how it is clocked. Do not remove this gear until you are sure of the timing marks and how the go back. You could find yourself in a world of pain, if you do not. Once the timing gear is off the pump should just slip out.
There is a Belarus parts place in the U.S.
I get my parts on e-bay, never a problem and real fast.
You can adapt an aftermarket filter setup for the fuel supply after the course filter.

good luck, you can e-mail me direct if you need more info.....

First thing is thanks for help and I mean thanks.

I am seeing what you are talking about with the gears. Just a maybe question. The bracket that the tract fits into, can I leave one side bolted together but loose then swing the bracket out out the way and remove the center nut then pull the injector pump out without taking the timing gear and ring completely apart. Are is this all going to fall apart when I pulled the pump out?

Just a note, if your starter is slow, try one of the new geared starters. My son bought one for his and it is world of difference in cranking..Good luck on your replacement, and timing issues. Jy.

No biggy pulling the tac it will fit back in without complication and it does not have to be clocked...
There is already a mark on the gear that should line up with marks on the other gear it meshes into. once those marks are lined up you should be able to remove the pump assembly and not worry. I know you want to get it back up and going as fast as possible but ; slow down, take your time. Get a paint stick and mark it yourshelf if you do not want to rotate the engine, lable every thing and write it down. I do this even when I know what I am supose to do (My memory is not what it was ) I also take a lot of pictures, worth a thousand words I hear.
Before you pull the pump, check your lines. A little leak somewhere will cause the same lack of power.

Since you have been so much help I would like to tell you what I think is happening. I removed the fuel lines going to the injectors at the pump. I turn the engine over and see nothing coming out of the pump and I mean nothing. I loosen the line coming into the pump from the 2nd stage filter. I turn the engine over and see all kinds of fuel coming to the pump. So at that point I am thinking how is this thing running at all. So with everything back and air pumped out with the hand pump it will start but has to turn over for awhile before it will start. Now here is the good stuff. I removed both the fuel feeds at the injectors. I turn the engine over and the fuel starts coming out of the upper line, the over flow line. I think the tractor is running off the fuel feed pump pushing fuel backwards thru the overflow lines. I know this sounds crazy but it is what I am seeing.

You seem to be on the right track in changing out the pump..... If I can be of future assistance you can send me a message thought e-mail.
The 250 is a great little tractor, we need to keep as many of them running as possible.

Does your 250 have a loader? I am looking to build one for mine but need help in finding out where it connects to the tractor at midpoint, photos would be helpful...

This maybe a second send. I was giving you a response and my PC went kind of crazy. No loader, but wish I did. If you ever need anything and can not find it. If, it is on my spare tractor it is yours. Thanks again for the help.
