Just bought a Beltec TM 48 with rock auger. Have it on my JD 5203. Fasse splitter makes it work.
Have drilled some holes in a solid rock shelf. Not sure at this point how much pressure to put on it. Takes quite a while to get 2 feet of hole made. Have eased up on the pressure so that the rocking motion on the tractor is gentle and smooth rather than jerky.
Have read some old threads on TBN about the '48 but was looking for input from other Beltec owners about their experience with this piece of equipment.
The hard caliche it cuts thru like butter.
This is one high priced digger and don't want to tear it up.
Also wondered how many hole others are getting before changing out the teeth.
