By any chance do you guys or gals have the specs on the cylinders. I bent the rods and would like to find a cross reference to replace them.

This is about the third thread in the last week or so about this happening and not one of the posters has explained how it happened. Doesn't seem possible for this to happen so often.

Was using a grapple bucket and next thing you know both are bent.

A Grapple increases the chances of doing it. Curl the bucket forward, grab an object that's grounded or heavier than your FEL should handle, reverse the tractor. Now the resistance is trying to open the Grapple. Pull hard enough and you bend the ram from compression force.

Be real careful about putting yourself in this situation. A Grapple puts tremendous stresses on an FEL that it's not designed to handle.

If you have a good hardware or AG supply store near you might check with them. They can take the dimensions of your cylinder and order a replacement. Probably at considerably less cost than going thru Kubota

Took my Bradco backhoe stabilizer cylinder rod t5o a welding and machine shop. They had the chrome rod in stock and made one up on a lathe with the proper steps grooves, chamfers and everything , welded on to old cross head and everything. The only way to tell the difference on the two cylinders now is one had a painted section on the end and the other did not. A good machine of hydraulics shop should be able to make a new rod assembly or you can just order the rod part from Kubota see Messicks parts list.

A good hydraulic shop should be able to either be able to make new rods to go into your cylinder or be able to get you pricing on complete new ones.

Well I was just looking for the specs on the cylinders that came with that loader. Sense they are all bent up and off the tractor I have no way to get the measurements I need. I was hoping someone had the same loader as me and could just grab a couple measurement so i could fit some temporary ones to get this tractor up and running. Thanks anyway.

X2.......adapting generic cylinders have their short comings, either in a different stroke or modify to fit. Assuming the cylinder barrel internally is ok and gland is not egged out, having someone make a new rod and a repack will get you back and running and everything will be as new again without something that looks like a Disney Mouse.

I知 assuming that you have already replaced this but because kubota wants $700 a piece for the cylinders and I did the same thing and I have spent some time looking. Here痴 what I just ordered.

Chief LD Loader Welded Cylinder: 1.75 Bore x 18 Stroke - 1 Rod Dia.

$140 each. both the retracted length and extended length or about 3/4 of an inch less than the original cylinder. Otherwise they are identical.
