Bent Pin

I knocked my carry all unit into a tree and it bent the framing that houses the attached 3pt. pin.

Bare in mind, this is all new to me....Do I just heat up the powder coated metal with a blow torch and bend it back.??

That will mess up the paint a little but it will work, or you can just take a big hammer and "adjust" it, or hit the same tree from the opposite side to bring it back. If it is an angle iron frame or flat plate steel, a large cresent wrench can do wonders in moving things back where they belong.

How bent is bent?

Most of my 3pt attachments have pins that have gotten bent for one reason or another, but they still hitch up and work fine.

It's bent directly back and it seems to hang up some when the attachment comes off the hitch.

I need more experience using the 3pt. hitch. Still a rookie with it.

Gonna put a bigger hammer on it this weekend. And, get more practice.

If it is attached to the typical flat plate or angle iron that I have seen on most carry-alls, you can probably just lay it on the ground and lift it up so the 3 point part that attaches to the tractor is laying on the ground and the cary-all part is pointing up. Take sledge hammer and tonk on the end of the bent pin, it will probably bend right back with little effort.
