best 9mm?

Around here almost all LEOs are carrying .40's. don't know of any still carrying 9mm. Ballistics seem to be the happy medium between velocity/penetration and knock down energy characteristics.

That's interesting that the chief would carry a .22 mag. Wonder what his reasoning was? They are wicked accurate.

Before i clicked the link I was thinking keltec pocket pistol? that ain't gonna be "wicked accurate"

But looking at it, should be good, as big as it is. Looks pretty cool, and 30 round double stack mag :thumbsup:

Still not sure why LEO would carry it, but I can think of much worse choices.

The 30 round mag is one of the reasons that he carries it. Knowing this guy like I do, I would imagine the sheer novelty is the other reason. (Nobody else has one) BTW, he rarely has to go out on a call. Most of his duty time is spent in the office. But, believe me, if he feels the need to carry more hardware, he's got it.

Me too. My daily carry was a P3AT until Ruger came out with the LCP. I sold my Kel-Tec and bought the Ruger because: A. I like the grip better; and B. it's a Ruger. :thumbsup:
But, I also have a PF9 and a P40. Great little pistols, but a little large for my pocket. My front pockets are my usual carry position. (in DeSantis Nemesis pocket holsters) Yes, I carry in BOTH front pockets. My firearms instructor for concealed carry (this same police chief) told us that we should always carry a spare magazine. So, I just carry a spare magazine in another pistol. It's handy that way.

i have a p32 and a p3at, a spare mag for both.. the spare mag is the extended version, giving it a larger grip. Thus if switch to my spare I have an even better hand hold and 1-2 more rounds, depending on the weapon I'm carrying.
