The best gun is the one that reliably goes bang. Anything else is extra.

All of my Pump shotguns...12 ga and 20 ga. have the plugs in the tubes...anyone know how I can safely take those plugs out so I can load more shells...I googled it but it was not clear to me...I realize there is a spring in there and I know without trying that you better know what you are doing before disrupting a spring or I may never get it back it...Help please...I have an old JC higgins 12 ga. and an Ithica 12 ga.. Thanks..
I think the "Chi-Ching" of the pump action alone would be best warning that the next thing is the BANG to a would-be intruder....
No need to holler out "Stop...Who goes there"

I keep several 22lr around the house and the shop, always loaded. A 20-12 guage can do a lot of damage if you are aiming close to the chicken house, found it to be the best way to do it. I like many on this form have many other things to use for hunting, but the old 22lr is still the favorite.
What is the best gun is like what is the best oil.
You get a hundred different replies from a hundred different posters. All good.
The best gun is one of each one.
Or, none at all.
