Best chains for mud??

/ Best chains for mud?? #2
I work for a chain manufaturer up in Kamloops (we have a sales branch in Langley)....

I can't say one will work better than another, because eventually they will all clog up with mud... but if you have a v-bar or studded, it will probably be the best.

What kind of machine are you using it on? if it is a midsize tractor, you could use duo grip... it's a H-pattern

Related Question (hopefully) and not a "hi-jack":

I understand that R-1's (Ags) are best for mud.

However, I like turfs.

In the event that I have to "go mudding," sometime, I am interested in opinions on which is better in heavy mud, and by how much:

Unchained R-1's vs. Chained Turfs?

I've read that turfs are better on pavement, with snow (more surface area, in terms of more lug faces [and, consequently, lug-surface area], on the ground at the contact patch, than R-1'a or R-4's, due to the turfs' greater number of smaller lugs, wider cross-section, and softer composition/(less plys?). I've also read that turfs' superiority on pavement, in snow, is definitely enhanced with chains, and actually exceeds the traction of R-1's (and possibly R-4's), even if the latter two are chained up, due to the wider-spaced ribs inability to match the "greater surface-area contact patch" of turfs, on a hard, snow surface.

However, I just wonder how much I may be able to compensate for turf's (generally-acknowleged) inferior ability to handle mud, if I were to add chains to the turfs, in the future?

Machine contemplated is a cabbed B3030, for gardening and general property maintenance, on 2-4 acres.

Thanks,

My Hoe

All the log skidders that I have seen working on muddy ground were using ring type chains.
