Yeah, jeeze I'm already nervous about those prices. When I was 16 my neighbor bought his JD 4510 4wd 35 horse power for under 30,000$. Prices have changed a lot.
I'm quite nervous about those prices because I'm about to buy my first ever house for around 90,000 to 100,000$. Used won't be much less. But I dont want a machine I will be repairing all of the time. I'm sure I will figure something out.

I will be doing my own landscaping/ driveway repairs and lifting so of course I will need something with a fel!!!! I have used enough to become extremely comfortable on a joystick. I know down the road they rent a trailer with a bobcat for 230$ per day! So yes if I need a front loader all the time my personal tractor with a fel would work out well.

A lot to think about here. Don't know what I was thinking but I guess 20,000$ range is hard to do.

Good for you on wanting a house. If I had to do it again, I would buy a shack with no running water or heat. But if it was on 50 acres--I'm sold. You can never have enough land. No close neighbors to cause problems; you can shoot a gun and ride ATV's--Freedom.
Good luck.

Have you looked at tractorhouse .com. or fastline or even Craigslist there are lots of newer low hour tractors in the size range your looking at. A lot of them have been gently used some have been abused they generally show it if you look carefully. Buddy of mine bought a slighty used B3030 saved a couple thousand it had less than 50 hours at time of purchase lots of people by these tractors and then decide it's to big or 2 small. I'm sure you can find something descent in the low $20k range

Good luck on your house purchase I waited 8 years to get a tractor after we got our house.

How much property does the house have?

Kubota dealers sell ONLY Kubota tractors.

There is a dealer in Franklin, Indiana, that sells CNH and Kubota on the same lot. Philip.

There is a video I just recently posted of my L3940 starting at -6F. I was very pleased with it's performance on Monday of this week, and you know what it was like. Feel free to come over and test drive mine. Philip.

I plan to buy a house with at least an acre if not much more! I grew up with 20 acres and a 1/4 mile of driveway. Its been so hard to go back to having no land and an apartment but it was all for a college education and a good job.

I want a house with a two car garage and 1 plus acre of land. I will be bringing down from Michigan my 1944 john Deere model A and my Massey Ferguson MF 25 diesel. So if the house had a pole barn that would be a blessing other wise I can build one. The Massey has a bad fuel system that needs repaired otherwise it should be OK for small jobs.

After paying 1200$ per month for an apartment that won't fix my blinds from week one, wouldn't give me a work out room key, and didn't plow or shovel ..... didn't even shovel the doors out and let the snow and ice pile up. After this experience and similar over the last 3.5 years I am beyond ready to buy a house. I will be taking care of my self. Putting firewood in my own stove, repairing my own house and doing electrical repairs, plowing my own snow since I know I can operate a pay loader for 12 hours per day plowing our 40 acre lot. And of course being a full time truck mechanic I need to REPAIR my own vehicles out of my own home. Right now I have to drive to a friends house. I'm ready to be in control. I would like to live off the land and my girlfriend and I will have a backyard to let the dogs out.

What's the deal with using a finishing mower on my small Massey diesel? Well I'm not a large fan of new riding mowers not worth the price. At the time I'm more worried about purchasing the house, then driving my tractor or tractors down here 700 miles round trip. Mortgage for houses I'm looking at will be 450 to 900$ which is comforting. I'm so ready to not rely on people to take care of me.

Kubotas have been great for me,I put around 500hrs a year on mine, never have let me down. In the 20grand range and the HP/LDR/4WD/PRICE the Mahindra 4530 would be on my list also. They also have 0% for 84mnths...

Hey Philip thanks! I have seen the video as I am very impressed. Mondays weather was bad as Sunday night I pulled out 12 semi trucks out of the 40 acre parking lot with our pay loader and some I had trouble with because theywere hooked to doubles! Even pulled our highway plow truck out of the ditch at the entrance with that pay loader. Weather was indeed bad! I appreciate your offer to test drive and visit. We are pretty much already neighbors haha. It really is a small world out there and a lot of people who take care and rely on themselves but also look out for their neighbors

In regards to pricing, I found Kubota dealers seem to price the tractors at 85% of the MSRP that you will see online when you got to Kubota and do the build your own.
