You've got to be kidding me, right?

What I'm curious about is how the heck they got away with Miss Galore's name in "Goldfinger" in 1964!

AFAIK.. in quantum of solace.. 'Ms Fields' character's first name was strawberry.. as per the credits.. unless my eyes faked me out when they scrolled on by..

Yep.. p galore.... gota love that..

ah, i guess in tombstone ole' Doc Holiday was a relatively cultured man.....and he was a tough guy......although he'd put a hurtin' on bond too....

yes, but when the ferrari breaks down and you can't fix it yourself, nor afford to fix it, like the old ford truck, you'll be walking:D

all in good jest, all in good jest...

man, this poor thread has been through the ringer.........thost darned gun nuts just won't stop!;)

edit: i had to add the best quote of ever...

Doc: "Why Johnny Ringo, you look like somebody just walked over your grave."

My, my, Flathead.....

I'll give you that Eastwood was (and still is) great, and those movies were among the best ever made. But let's get real. Comparing Eastwood to Bond is like comparing an old Ford pickup to a new Ferrari. They both have their roles, but when all is said and done I'd rather be cruising the highway in the sports car.

This may be the making of a future thread ...who do you think is the coolest movie character (other than Shrek). :D

We now return to our regular thread already in progress, but well off the path....:D

I was sent this today and thought you guys might want to catch up on some history. This is exactly why the 2A is critical to maintaining our freedom.

Do you really think our country compares to any of those for the context of rights and privileges?

Doesn't he also say, "I'm your Huckleberry"

By the way, that is a great movie.

i told my wife i need to dust that movie off and watch it again....love it!

i just spent the last 15 minutes reading quotes from that movie.......whoever wrote docs parts was sure funny........

i wonder what type of home defense rifle was used in this movie....i saw a lot of sawed off double barrels, winchester leaver actions and colt style six shooters......

there, we're back on task!

Doesn't he also say, "I'm your Huckleberry"

By the way, that is a great movie.

The point is we must do our best to make sure that those types of situations can never happen here. An armed populace is a great deterrent to a run away government. The 2A insures that we remained armed.

Or, be a sheep, it's your choice! :D

No not yet but I think that's what RW was trying to demonstrate, to be ever vigilant.

I think that info was chilling and it would be unwise for us to just dismiss it as something that could never happen to us, "ever vigilant"

I don't think we'll have any mass extermination, but could certainly experience increased serious crime stats due to stricter gun controls/bans.

James bond never did anything for me, Bronson or Norris either.

Clint Eastwood hands down, maybe not the toughest/meanest but definitely the coolest. "Blondie" from The good, the bad, and the ugly. One of my faves.

As far as the thread hijacking, I don't know the jurys still out on that--Yea Right!

My point exactly. We have an armed public now, and some would argue a run away government.

Your comparisons have nothing to do with the steady erosion of rights witnessed these past few years. Those situations in your example deteriorated long before firearms were withdrawn from the populace.

Are you a good sheep or a bad sheep?

From historical experience.. a gun ban predates a massive loss of 'other' rights...
