Proactivity is the best defense of a gun ban.
Ie... millions of people owning guns telling the gov't that a gun ban is a real bad idea is better than trying to reach yor gun first, befor ethe gov't does..

I'm saying a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Sounds corny, but each man has his limits.
Apparently I was when I was drinking but I'd have to take other peoples' word for it.![]()
But in reality, it depends on the law. See above for each person having their limits.
Like the speed limit? 5 over on a nice day? Its illegal, but I'm a scoundrel.
I'm saying this is my opinion:
A total gun ban will most likely never get passed.
A handgun ban nationwide will most likely never get passed.
If one does, most people will not turn in their guns anyway.
If the government attempts to go house to house (which it never will, but let's discuss it anyway) to search for guns, lots of folks will get shot on both sides. I just don't think most Americans would give up their guns regardless of any law.
