<font color=blue>Yo wasabi;
This thread has spread many directions with lots of good info. I was just wondering if you had decided what might fit the bill best for your situation?

Moon, etal,
Well, having weighed all of your sage advice, I've made my decision. For anyone following this slightly meandering trail, I have been on the hunt for a machine to tackle multiple tasks on our remote mountain property (did I mention it is steep in places?)....
Here tis....Power-Trac 2445 w/ Backhoe and multiple quick-attach implements...two buckets, planter/auger, forks, trencher, power angle blade and more to come.
The basic specs: 4 WD, Hydrostatic, 45 hp Deutz Diesel, 2500 lbs wt, 12" ground clearance, 0 to 12 mph, very sturdy ROPS, 5'8" wheel base, 60" width, 1800lb lift capacity to 9', backhoe with 10 ft reach, 8 ft depth and 3200 lbs breakout....more info available at:

For the foreseeable future, I'll be posting less and tractoring more. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif We just got over 75 tons/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif of gravel dumped near the beginning of our 1.5 mile logging road/driveway, so culverts, road scraping and spreading the stone is job one. Next comes the building site.
Thanks to all for helping with my tractor and implement research!! It has been great fun!
