most of those light shredders such as howse an modern might hold up to just cutting grass.but if you do any brush shredding with them they will swarm.youd be better off looking for a clean used bushhog,that will pretty much shredd anything your tractor is big enough todo.

Pretty much all brands, from King Kutter on up to Bush Hog, Woods, & Rhino, make a range of cutters from light duty, only good for mowing weeds, to heavy duty models that are designed to cut up to 2" brush. Simply because it's a Bush Hog brand rotary cutter doesn't mean a Squealer is up to mowing everything your tractor can run over, all day every day, and just because someone opts for a King Kutter doesn't mean it will only hold up to clip pastures. Howse and Modern both make some very reasonably priced heavy duty cutters, but the OP really doesn't have enough tractor to handle more than a light-medium duty 6' rotary cutter (8-900 lbs) so it's not really an issue.

Take a look at modern ag out of Texas the have several models the decks are thicker 3/16" and you can even get some hot dipped galvanized with a ten year rust warranty all for under 1500
I am having a dealer bring one in for me. They sure look stout to me but have only seen them on Internet they have been around since 60's. Made in USA putting people to work. All good things check them out.

Does anyone know any dealer you sells the Modern ag, 6', superr Sunshine rotary cutter for under or at $1500. I just called 2 dealerships and they are priced at $1900 and $2000. For this price, I can buy a new 6' 170 Rhino at my local Kioti dealership in AL.
