Best place to get a 3 point hitch kit for Kubota L3901 ??

cant seem to find one anywhere. Does one of those universal ones work? or Is there a specific Kubota Kit available. Where did you guys get yours???

Look for the Kubota Wholegoods Catalog online (google it). If this "kit" exists, it will be listed and give a part number and cost.

Three point hitch comes as standard equipment on an L3901. I doubt there is a wholegoods kit listed.

Salvage, new from Kubota parts (by the piece, $$$$$), or maybe match up generic linkage parts.

That's absurd. 4 weld on lower link balls and a cheap generic toplink will cost more than that.

Add lift links, stabilizers, steel for draft links and all the pins to that.

I would go to the dealer and see what they can come up with should be the same as a L3800 and others you never know they might have one laying around......Where did the original one go?

What are you talking about? The 3901 comes with a factory 3 point hitch.

Maybe he bought a used L3901 with a backhoe and the 3 point linkage didn't come with it.

I wouldn't spend a dime on a 3pt hitch and not buy it with extendable arms.
They're life savers when it comes time to hook up to another implement.

Since the L3901 uses the same BH-77 backhoe as the LX-2610, and the 3-point hardware has to be removed to use that, I'd say that the 3-point hardware should be available if the tractor can be ordered with the backhoe already mounted. If you have a decent dealer in your area, he'll be more than willing to help you find out how to get it. You might have to purchase it as a lot of individual parts, dunno.

BH77 hoes are dealer installed and the tractors they fit are shipped with 3 pt linkages as standard equipment.

You are entirely correct. I eagerly await delivery of a BH-77 subframe for my LX2601SU, but have already taken delivery on the tractor. The dealer told me that they normally pack up the lift hardware in a box and deliver it with the tractor, especially since it's a removable backhoe. Apparently it's about a 30 minute job to put the lift hardware back on after removing the backhoe, so not really as quick a job to go from backhoe to bushhog as Messick's videos suggest. There's one where they show removing and re-installing the backhoe in under 7 minutes, including driving nearly 50 yards away from it, parking, shutting down the tractor and getting off to get a lap-time for removing the hoe, then they drove back to it, installed the backhoe, and returned to the same parking spot again. Impressive, but the only reason I can see for installing or removing the backhoe is the need to do something different from what the tractor was last used for. That ain't happening in 7 minutes. There's nowhere to hang additional ballast on the back, so the FEL use would have to be capped as well to prevent stability problems. Even with wheel ballast, I'm not sure I'd want to be lifting a full bucket of dirt.

Removing or installing your 3pt linkage is a 5 minute job if you have normal dexterity. Maybe 10 minutes the first time.
The entire process of removing the backhoe and installing the 3pt (or the reverse operation) shouldn't take a half hour after you have done it a few times. Much of your commentary is completely speculative and obviously not based on your own experience.
If Messick's produced a video showing an experienced person removing and reattaching the backhoe in 7 minutes it most likely happened whether you believe it or not.
