What model of sirius receiver do you have? I should have asked earlier.THis can make a difference in what potential options you have. Some Sirius units come with built in modulators, however they can be rather weak.

The hard wire option gives the best signal to your radio, but it will require kits for all vehicles.

I misunderstood your earlier posts. From what your saying, your sirius has a built in FM modulator, that broadcasts on 88.1 FM???? If thats the case, then forget what i said about external modulators (like the one in the ebay link), and just upgrade your radio to FM. Everything eshould work fine then. Sorry if i confused the issue.

Before id buy on ebay, id check a local retailer. Walmart (as much as i hate them) carries stereos cheaply. Look for something made by pioneer or kenwood (those are my personal faves), sony would be my next.

I also think Walmart carries the wire in adapters. Youd need a wire in adapter for every vehicle.

If you want ebay, just go there and search for "Car Audio In-Dash Units". Were not really supposed to link directly to auctions here on TBN.

its a cab, radio on the roof of it, if the wired radio plugs into the cigar outlet, how will i power the sirius radio, i already have the sirius radio powered by it

what is fm modulator?

dont want headphones

I have a cab, this is what I did to get it installed:

I installed Sirius SAT Radio in my tractor as follows:

Installed a AM/FM/CD Head Unit (Radio), speakers, with an auxiliary input ($90 bucks)
Velcro'ed my old circa 2005, externally mounted (magnetized) Auto Satellite antenna on top of my cab.
Ran the Antenna wire into my cab
took my portable Sirius Sportster (circa early 2005 model) from inside my house.
got a mini plug cable (Male plug on both ends)
Plugged one end of the mini plug into the Sportster
plugged the other end of the mini plug into the Aux input of the AM/FM/CD Radio
Plugged the car power cable into my power plug in the tractor
plugged the SAT antenna cable into the back of my Sportster.
Selected the Aux input

Works like a charm - I use it while i am cutting my yard and my neighbors yard.

I still bring the Sportster in the house and plug it up to my audio equipment.

good reuse effort for me as I don't need this unit in my cars anymore.

the bouncing does not seem to bother the receiver yet, but it is one designed for a car.
