Well I showed up at Roorks at 7:45 AM and at 8:00 Am I met with dan ( I think he is the owners son) And after showing him some pictures of the hills and banks he felt the ZD25 would be the best choice. So in about 1.5 hours time they had it put together, and took me out back for a test drive and to go over it. Its 1 mowen machine, LOL. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I brought it home and took it for a test cut and boy this think cuts quick, It took some getting use to. 1 of the small fields that I cut with the craftsman use to take about 1 and 45 minutes. I cut it in 17 minutes.I will say I'm still a little concerned with cutting the hills. After cutting a little over an hour, I tried cutting a small bank that has a wicked drop of beside it and It could be from my lack of experence but It slid sidways down it ( About a 20 degree angle) and the 1 drive tire went over the edge. I had to get the 4320 JD to its rescue it.It handles really nice but the traction is a little less than I had hoped for.I'm still testing its bounderies. The Guys at Roorks are top notch and they beat everyones prices . I would drive the 340 mile round trip again if I ever needed another Kubota.
A note for you guys with the suspension seat. Mine was way to hard even at its lowest setting. So I removed 1 of the 2 springs and cranked the tensioner in almost all of the way , And now it acts like a JD floating seat. Its almost like riding on air. I weigh in at 180 so if your alot heavier . This may or may not work . But it really made a big difference in my ZD.
Any tips would be appriciated on how to mow steep hills that slope both down and away would be greatly appriciated. I'm not ready to roll this unit. LOL.
Once again thank you all for all of your help.
Jim
