Best time of year to buy a new truck (F-150) ?

Yes, I should add that around here the last Saturday of the month is the best time. They usually have balloons for the kids, hot dogs and pop, a radio station broadcasting live, ect. I bought the Titan I have that way. Showed up at 9am when they opened, said they have 5 minutes so go get the finance man (no back and forth crap or I walk), offered 6K less than sticker, got it for $5700 off sticker in less than 3-4 minutes.

Just tell them you are not hear to play. It can be the easiest sale of the day. When I went to pick it up on the following Monday the sales lady that helped me said she had the best day in 6 years. Sold something like 4 new cars that day alone. She said I set the theme of the day.

Not sure where you are located. Te iPhone ap doesn't show location. I do know that in Canada the best time is august September. I bought one at Christmas tine in 07 then saw it for over $10000 leas the following summer. I drove both 5.0 and ecoboost. The old 5.4 has nothing on either. Haven't tried towing with either yet.

Just seen where Ford is increasing the production rate of the Eco Boost. Its selling much better than the 5.0L and other motors and beating Fords expectations. Its accounting for about 1/2 of the total F-150s sold.

I just purchased a new 11 Chevrolet . With all the rebates , incentives , and points on GM Card , I think I did pretty good . There are still a lot of 2011 new inventory on the lots to move out . I usually purchase some type of new vehicle every 2 years , in saying this , the first of the year or last can make a difference in price , but you NEEDto deal better at the end of the year , because you have now bought a unit that is a year old , IMO .

The test I referred to said the Eco Boost can cost $750 and up over the 5.0, depending on trim level. It adds only 5 hp and 40 lbs./ft. of torque over the 5.0, but towing capacity is 9800 lbs. with 3.55 gears vs. the 5.0's 9300 lbs. with 3.73 gears, and it beats the 5.0 by a half second in the standing quarter mile and 0-60 mph, and mileage is reported as 17.2 vs 15.5.

I have a hard time understanding how a little 213 cubic inch six can run a 14.8 sec./95 mph quarter mile, yet give 17.2 mpg overall. If I wasn't such a diehard GM truck owner, I would go test drive one tomorrow....:laughing:

GM? Are they still in business????:laughing::confused2:

I was a GM man at one time also. Two really bad trucks did me in and 2 so so cars were the final straw plus what has gone on in the last 4 years over there.

Just having some fun.

Go take a drive. I think you will be impressed. To me there is no comparison in fit and finish of the two brands but thats me. If anyone should know a V6 turbo can do amazing things it should be a GM man. Remember the Grand National. That was a bad ride.

December 30 about an hour before closing time, year end sales numbers mean everything to dealers/managers/salesmen they want to hit bonus, you want a deal...everyone wins. Shop a couple of dealers to see who has not hit bonus, sometimes a desperate dealer will sell into the holdback(below invoice) just to hit their sales quota.

I bought my '11 GMC right before Christmas...They were thowing rebate money all over the place even a rebate from Ally (the finance company)...I'd never seen anything like it.

I was looking at lightly used too, you can get a new one for the same price and sometimes better...Much better new if you're financing.
