So far, knock on wood, we have escaped any really bad weather except for the cold. I don't remember having weeks after week of low temps in the teens and twenties.

I split about 4.5 cords of wood for the season and stacked them in three large piles. In January I thought we might only use two of the stacks this season. I started the second stack in January and it will be finished most likely next week. I'm real tired of the cold.

I need to start cutting trees for next season. Last year I had most of the wood cut into rounds by this time of year. This year nothing has been done for a variety of reasons but I'm hoping to start tomorrow. However the temps will be in the teens in the morning and I don't have the cold weather bar oil so I'll have to wait a bit towards noon.

At least we dont have snow and ice. Its been a couple of years since we have had a major snow storm so its time for one to hit us. As long as its not ice.....

Hey Dan,
This happened tuesday nite and wenesday

Somewhere around 3-4 ft.

BTW, I have next years wood put up, Im worried about the year after that !

I just helped my fil load one up at Lowes about 3 weeks ago. It was marked clearance at $350. The Lowes guy said he would take %50 off that, so he ended up getting it for $175. They had 3 more, but I couldn't see needing it. The next day I went back figuring it would be worth storing at that price, but they were all gone.
