Wear whatever u have on, nothing you are doing on a tractor should determine what you wear for footwear, now working off the tractor is a different matter.

Herman Survivor steel toes lace up logging boot works for me,I don't want house slippers on if I need to get off my tractor and do some work.

I always wear steel toes as well. See attached. I bought a new pair because these have no tread left, though they still look OK for field work. But the new pair looks so good, I feel like I need to wear them in bad weather this winter to my real job, so I'm still wearing these for tractor or other outdoor unreal(?) work.

Never had a problem with the hydro pedal or slipping off, but I have a two pedal hydro so that might be why.

We have a winner! It looks like steel toe work boots win by twice the votes with work boots coming in second and tennis shoes in third. I was kind of disappointed that no one wears 4'' stelleto heal black satin pumps. Oh! Well! I guess I'll have to get my self some steel toe boots for my next tractor outing! thanks for all the input!

Like most, it depends, but boils down to small and and quick around the house then what ever I have on, usually tennys, anything away from the house or more than a few minutes, on go the work boots.

Actually the same goes for the eye and hearing protection. Typically any time I hook any thing on the tractor, I start hook things to my head /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Mostly the quick things are moving an item from one place to another, hay, garbage, things I can just toss in the bucket and move it to a new location.

I started out just wearing a pair of old basketball shoes in the summer but the now-infamous JD hot foot made that uncomfortable. As it's now cooler I'm wearing 8" steel toed work shoes and may continue with these when spring arrives.
