Best Tractor ?..this should open a can of worms

Was his new --Ford all built in the USA? I bet not!!! Even some of the new outboard motors with brand names are made in China....Tractors nearly all are imported below a certain horsepower??

I have a 1967 Ford 4000 and a 1967 Farmall 1206. "They" made pretty good stuff back then. I seriously doubt any of the new tractors, no matter what brand, will be around in 44 + years. It is sad!

Sorry to hijack the thread.. What engine to you have and what transmission.
I have 192 engine and 8 speed transmission. Gas. The only thing I would change is I with I had diesel.

im sure it was built in the USA or he wouldnt have bought it.he dissliked anything built over seas with a passion.

well it was a ford 5600,long before they bought NEW HOLLAND.he wont ever find it as he has been gone 10yrs.

I know, I know. What are you using it for? Where is the closest dealer? What features do you want?

Forget all of that.

Simply stated, who makes the best quality, best built, least short cuts taken tractor. Price is not an issue, dealer service is not an issue. Purely the best built tractor. Strongest parts, longest lasting engines, fewest problems.

Every product has a known leader. Everyone knows Lexus is better then KIA (again, price is not an issue)

So...which Tractor is a Lexus and who is the KIA?

The prettiest, for me, is that New Holland 8N. I could do without the chrome ROPS, but it looks beefy, has 50 horses, and a CVT tranny.

The best one will be the one my wife will let me buy - maybe a used Craftsman lawn mower.
