Workin . . . I was looking at your photos and noticed that you do not have the backhoe or the loader bucket secured for trailering. If I read the D.O.T. towing regulations correctly for commerical carry (which I believe would apply to you), I believe you need to have the loader and the backhoe individually chained down, in addition to the tractor being changed down. It sounds like overkill, but you might want to look into it before you face an unnecessary fine.workinallthetime said:i use a 18 foot car hauler type trailer to move mine, i bought the trailer for 600.00 used and put new tires on it as soon as i got it. Troopers rarely know the trailering laws until there is a DOT crackdown. We seem to have a regulations check about 1 month a year every year. Then when they do crack down the whole concept of "ignorance of the law is no excuse" will get you a ticket every time! What I see is that people "get away" with stuff that is dangerous, or illegal, or both. The question is do you want to be safe and legal, or do you want to get away with something until you get caught?workinallthetime said:i dont know about the regulations, ive had many a trooper behind me but non has ever pulled me over.
