The title should say "Most Used Attachment"

What if you had $500 and wanted to spend it on something. For arguments sake you had a (S)CUT, FEL and a rear blade (box or scrape).

What would you get and why?

In my case, at $500 it would be my 9' Flail mower, which I have yet to see in person. But will Friday night. Hope to try it out on Saturday. Otherwise I guess a 5' Rotary mower would be useful.

If you don't already have a drawbar they can be handy. Cost almost nothing and great for dragging and pulling posts/etc out of the ground.

If I did not already have one,,, I would buy a $200 chain,,,
for that much, it is unbreakable,,, and doubles as a front end weight!!

I paid $100 for my ancient 7' Ford 917 flail. Have about $500 into it now with parts. I'd agree it's my most important implement. Good luck in finding one... there have been 7 posted to Craigslist in Colorado in the past 2 years, most crop flails or overpriced. A rough cut rotary cutter would be the much more likely alternate.

My box blade is #2 on my list. I've done a fair bit of digging & grading with it as well as the expected driveway maintenance. A land plane is on my build or used bargain hunt list. They are easier to use & level/smooth better than a box, but not as flexible.

Really does depend on your land. I would be lost without my landscape rake. A boom pole is also in my sights.

My "most used" for the compact tractor would be 3PT hitch hayforks. Fencing, cutting trees and brush, moving things.
