Best way to cut rebar

/ Best way to cut rebar #21
Angle grinder has been one of the best tools I have used these past few years. I just get the metal cutter discs at the box store and have cleaned out or cut up everything from rebar, copper, steel and the occasional lead pipe. It's fast, agile and the sparks have an entertainment factor to them.

And yes, I do keep a fire extinguisher handy.

thought about this thread the other day as I was making sparks with my chop saw on some rebar. I will now suggest the chop saw, very easy.

I agree; I have one of these from Harbor Freight this too. Cheap, safe and the purpose designed tool for the job.
Mf

Good looking tool built for the job. I only had a few 10 foot pieces to cut into 20 inch lengths so I finally used my angle grinder. If I was cutting lots then the tool from Harbor Freight, the 3-1/2 HP 14" Industrial Cutoff Saw, would be the way to go. :licking:
