I'm looking at buying a Case 8 foot grain drill that is 85 miles away. Could I haul it on an 8x10 snowmobile trailer? Tow it very slowly? Or ???

8' is usually the planting width, that unit should be wider than 8'. Right?

Correct. Actual width probably 11'. Not sure if I could put it on the trailer on a diagonal.

I'd probably do a slow tow behind my truck... To be honest

I get that. I don't know if there is a bolt on the hub to disconnect the drive chain, or if I would have to take off the chain.

I'd put the tailgate down and throw it into the pickup truck longwise with the hitch end festooned with ropes and pointing up like a mast Tie off all the shrouds and drive home.

I would also pick a version of this. Probably on a trailer though.
