Best way to remove saplings

I have one of these grabbers and it works very well...but to use it efficiently you really need a "ground man" to keep from having to stop and get on and off the machine to grab the next sapling...

Hi I do understand about ground person, I use a college kid while I sit on tractor, but how big does the brush have to be? Another words
what sizes it does it handle well between 1 inch to 4 inches?
