Kubota doesn't call this a recall or even a problem, just a "running design change". My dealer worked things out so I only had to pay 50% for the new cylinder (free would have been better, but I don't have time for an extended fight, reminds me of the "Deal or no Deal" game show... I took the deal). I am happy that Kubota responded, but the dealer has to take the credit. I gave them the information that everyone has posted to educate them on the issue. The initial answer without that information was a "NO your out of warranty". An informed dealer is going to be your best asset... Kubota made it painfully clear that they did not want to talk to me directly.
