Backhoe BH75/90 backhoe owners- survey

Kubota doesn't call this a recall or even a problem, just a "running design change". My dealer worked things out so I only had to pay 50% for the new cylinder (free would have been better, but I don't have time for an extended fight, reminds me of the "Deal or no Deal" game show... I took the deal). I am happy that Kubota responded, but the dealer has to take the credit. I gave them the information that everyone has posted to educate them on the issue. The initial answer without that information was a "NO your out of warranty". An informed dealer is going to be your best asset... Kubota made it painfully clear that they did not want to talk to me directly.

This is one of the reasons why good dealers are so important. A fact many people don't think about when they only shop for lowest price.

I think you did good considering you were 3 or 4 years out of warranty. Running design changes will not be covered, especially if the equipment is 5 years old. I have had my BH75A a little over a year now and really like it, especially how easy it is to remove. I think that digging close to the tractor with any of these small hoes, regardless of who makes them, should be avoided if possible. I've seen bent cylinders on the big hoes as well doing this.
