OK Mr. Terry...you've had 5 more days to design, fabricate and weld...

And the entire world wide inter-webby is waiting!

Everyone is wondering what the new welding table looks like now???

We've GOT to see it!!!

Lol. Thanks for checking in. I had figured most of you had lost interest in my shop related ramblings.

The base is welded up but I've done numerous design changes for the top (in my head )

I am rethinking the 3/4" thick top and considering 5/8" instead.

And. My plan was to build a 48"x72" table but the base I built using scrap material on hand would look proportionately better with a 40"x66" top.....I think.

From a full sheet this would leave me with :
A -40"x66" piece for welding table

B - 40"x30" piece for another smaller table (or?)

C - 8"x96" strip I can cut into gussets when I build pedestals (for the round tables previous posts) photo below

No shop work for awhile as I am still doing yard cleanup after storms and our "atmospheric river ".

We'll stay tuned...and try to be patient!

(Hope you didn't get any building or inside damage from the storms...)

Thank you for asking. I’m mildly inconvenienced compared to other areas of the province.

My (younger) sister is an event coordinator at an extended care facility. Basically gets paid the big bucks for socializing with old farts like me.

The other day she spent a little time in my shop gathering vintage looking tools for the display case she looks after in the front lobby.

Later that morning she sent me a pic of the display…

I think she did a pretty nice job and told her so. THEN it occurred to me. I texted her “HEY is this your way of moving me into an old folks home, a little bit at a time?.”

At which time she texted this photo back…..

You'll need to change the title of your thread...but we'll all still follow it!

Guessing the flooded areas were likely your old turf fields?
