It's rated at 4500lb. The most I'm going to carry is 2500lbs of gravel or 2 pallets of sod.

That 2,500 pound load plus 1,500 pounds of trailer is 4,000 pounds pushing you forward when you have to make a sudden stop when some other driver does something stupid.

It's your choice, and obviously you've made it. But I wouldn't make the same choice. I think it's penny-wise and pound-foolish.

I have done it and it's a bad idea. I did it behind a F350. I wouldn't even consider it behind a lesser truck. It's an accident waiting to happen. I would do it behind my bus, but it's got enough brakes to stop it in a hurry.
