Feeding the pellet stove to keep the chill off. I'm down to less than 20 bags, and heat is still a good thing.

That is about $50 off the going price over this past winter, but over $50 more than the my last buy.

Wood fire still looks like a deal until the time and labor is added in. (Cut split haul and stack)
Saves on gym memberships however

ha ha ha, I thought this would be about bio-diesel. Got confused about the 3-tons part.

The last time I bought wood pellets/bio-fuel it was $185 per ton for the best quality, around here. And I thought that was high. That was 25+ years ago. No idea what todays prices are. Long ago I went all electric.

It looks like split fir firewood around here is around $225 a cord, and hardwoods is over $300 a cord.

My guess is that April/May/June is the time to stock up on pellets for next fall when nobody is buying.
