Biodiesel in a Deere

   / Biodiesel in a Deere #11
For me the appeal of biodiesel is in engines that are running a lot, ie a car or truck running down the highway. I wouldn't put it in my tractor because I'll likely use less than 200 gallons in a year and would rather use Dino diesel because it's known to be less problematic in terms of algae growth and acidity.

If I had a diesel truck that I drove as much as the gasser I have now (drove it to NH and back as well as CA, WA and back in 2013), I'd probably be running b99 or doing a veggie oil conversion.

Ever see one of those ponds with nothing but green crap floating on top.....there you go. The cleaning comment made me chuckle that another poster made....my experience has been just the reverse. The only thing I would use bio in was like the person I quoted here....if that crap (bio) is in the tank less then a week I would think about it.
