Bird Has Passed Away

Thomas and Richard post fairly often as well.
Everyone mentioned thus far are part of the five I’m familiar with.
I recall one guy last month who had his 32nd post who joined in 2004.
I tried to goad him into posting more but he didn’t bite.
I wonder if he’s reading this.

I recognize several of those early names, and miss a couple others not on the list. MrJimi and Soundguy were fairly close to me and posted frequently. MrJimi passed, Soundguy moved on to greener pastures although I haven't tracked him down lately. Soundguy was amazing with 50-90 hp Ford tractors!

I recall Robert N from my early days as a new comer in 2004.

I had been looking to buy a tractor for about a year prior to joining…

TBN has been instrumental in influencing how I spend money.

I started in '98 about same time I got my first tractor

I think Bird was already here when I joined. May be off a little bit, but I think Bird and I were in the first 50 or so members of the original site, back when it started as a Kubota site.

The old days, when you'd make a post or a question, and it may be a few days between replies... Learned and shared a lot over the years.

About Bird, in those early days we talked about our Kubota's but he also talked about growing up using a compact John Deere "L" of the 1937-1946 timeframe.

I often wonder about what happened to the guy in Florida that had the Diesel Ford tractors as well as the guy in Montana, I believe that operated the road grader for his township part time. Cannot remember either of their screen names however but I believe one was .....something Guy, Music Guy maybe? Both were long time posters that vanished and both were middle aged.

I get a charge out of posters that come on here, make one post and vanish. I always think they are some sort of AI bot.

Sound Guy.

LBrown was another interesting poster. He hated switching implements so as I recall he had 3 Kubota BX’s. He also enjoyed posting the same pictures over and over. He had pictures of his fuel system and tanks I bet he posted a 100 times.

A prolific poster back in the early 2000s was Mark Chalkley. There was a thread on the famous Chalkley cup that went on for weeks.
Yes, the "Chalkey Cup" from the days before cupholders were a thing on tractors.

Miss HARV; he was a good guy, made the "Christmas Tractor" animation.
