Egon,
It amazes me the amount of knowledge that surfaces when someone is "called out", about there passion, what ever it may be. Reading the forum is like watching A&E, Discovery, and the History channel and never knowing whats comming next! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Remember the Black Angus from years gone by when the legs were shorter etc...it seems like they are bigger than they use too be,then they were say about 30 to 40 years ago.

Think in this case there is only a scratch on the surface of the Knowledge Base!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But I do know it is very hard to find a proper steak I can afford. It's also hard to find a good hamburger! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif And that's the complete extent of my present knowledge on this topic. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Why are you down grading good Angus beef with those inferior 1/2 breed herefords ?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

From a commercial standpoint from field to sale barn the angus/hereford is a great cross. Good prices and nice gains on the hoof with low calving weights.

Those Herefords help keep them Angus feet on the ground and easy calving /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Them Angus give more milk and marbling to those Herefords /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif So I say the baldy is the best cow /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
