Black Walnuts--mow/chop or rake/collect/dump?

also if you dont mind eatin them small just take the whole nut wak-her-good w/ a hammer and throw all the mess in a bucket of water nuts sink shell floats

I went by the school house yesterday and picked up some walnuts. They had the outer jacket walked off by the kids. Now i just need two sockets from the toolbox. One for the walnut to fit inside. The other to hammer inside and crack the nut, with practice you get a nice cracked nut?

So those things are black walnuts? Someone up the street has trees by the road and the black walnuts are smashed all over the road...Big mess...:confused2:

I know what you mean. My neighbor's house next to me shed walnuts on the road and every fall its a dark stained mess. I tried to use my BX bucket to scrape it off road to clear it every other day since its a pain when slowing down to enter my driveway and my car goes thwip! sideways on a few walnuts! owner of tree don't care.
