Here is another photo of the blade inquestion.

I know it may sound odd but you could mount a couple of hooks to the cutting edge. If your only plowing snow it wouldn't matter. I'd rather have the hooks than not.

first of all- how high does the plow go up exactly ?

Not very high  but he's not looking to lift with it.
Wish I had a loader mounted blade to push the snow up and over big piles.

Isn't your blade spring loaded? I believe your blade would tilt if you put any pressure on the top of the blade to lift or pull.

I will have to put a chain on the blade and hook the other end to something and see what happens.

Guessing about 10 to 12 inches.
Not really to concerned with lifting so much as pulling or draging however.

Ok - looks like I misunderstood your intentions. I can understand trying to lift something with plow if needed, or having a loop or hook to for lack of better way to explain it- to tow when stuck. I am just kinda bit horrified that towing would be done against the fast attach holding points. However- if the BX is stuck and front blade is on, and unable to tow from behind then I would say a hook perfectly centered low as possible would be ideal. Other then the brush gaurd, there is really no good place to place a emergency tow strap.
