My recently acquired 233 (2010 250 hours) must have a faulty fuel gauge. At a 1/4 tank it acted like it was running out of fuel. Filled it up but will not run under any kind of load. I suspect I need to bleed it. Owner manual says to open fuel cock (B) on injection pump, but no "B" in picture and I definitely don't see one on the pump. I do see air bubbles in the filter glass. I have a diesel truck and do my own service, but this thing has me stumped. Thanks for the help!

I have had the little fuel pump go bad twice on my 273 in 10 years. The way I bleed is to loosen the filter bowl, turn the key on. In a few seconds the bowl will fill with fuel. Tighten up the bowl. Tractor should crank then.

Also there is a beed screw on top of the fuel filter. You can remove it instead of loosening the filter bowl. When you turn the key on you should hear the pump running and fuel should come out the bleed screw hole. If not the pump is bad. The first bump I had go bad was intermittent. The tractor would starve for fuel and shut down. This would happen when the tank was low on fuel. When the tank is full, gravity will feed the injector pump.

Found the bleed screw, the fuel bowl is now without bubbles. It started fine and powered up smoothly in my shop. However, tropical storm Cindy's presence is beginning to be felt with the light rain falling and I don't feel like getting wet. It might be a few days before I can put it under a load. Thanks for the advice!

If you have a stubborn one, crack the lines at the injectors, crank for a bit.

Thanks, important thing is not trust the fuel gauge and keep it full of fuel!
