Im really sorry about your knee, try to stay off of it and let your wife baby you for a while. The more youre off of it the faster it will heal.

Yep... It's the clutch knee..

Went to the doctor, and have a follow up next week. They will decide at the follow up what to do next based on improvment or lacktherof.

Sorry to hear aobut your knee problem. I "blew" mine aout 2 years ago and went to the same surgeon who fixed my shoulder the year before, I had such a quick and complete recovery with my shoulder that when he said he'd do an arthroscopic procedure on my knee I readily agreed. I had a torn medial meniscus, which is fairly common, and supposedly an "easy" fix. A year and a half later I'm just getting to where I can walk normally, and I still can hardly get up if I have to go down on my knees to get something. Hope yours goes better..............

Getting old is not for the young..........

Soundguy,

My upper back has problems. Guess its better then my lower back. I have been through two "episodes" of pain in the last couple of years with the back. NOT FUN. Very painful. Getting old sucks but as has been said, it beats the alternative. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

SkyPub,
How in the heck did you rupture two discs cutting down the tree? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I want to know so I don't do whatever you did. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I have a couple of trees that need to get cut down soon. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Later,
Dan

Does this mean the 5000 isn't going to get a chance to play with the 10' cutter?

I hope you have a fast recovery also and hopefully that means no surgery. Good luck to you.

Sorry to hear about your old knee troubles. I never realized how much I do (and how much I can't stand having others do for me) until I had an ankle bone go out on me several years ago. Fortunately the knee surgery stuff these days seems pretty non-invasive and highly successful. With any luck, you'll be back on both feet (and knees) real soon. Happy healing...

Sorry to hear about your knee. Hope you don't need an artificial joint. I had two hip replacements in the past two years. Not bad at all. Hasn't slowed me down any but every time I lift something I wonder about it. For me, the worst part of the experience was the insurance hassles.

Yep.. all 'heavy' stuff is on hold right now. The only thing i may do is, mid next week, run a hay ride for the cousins and kids.. I'll get a friend to come over and hitch my trailer up and throw some bales on the trailer.. and then I'll just nurse the clutch leg.. We'll see...

Next thing you know, you'll be forced to get a new tractor with a hydrostatic transmission.

Or convert to a hand clutch! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hope you mend well, Soundguy. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
