Blind Spot/ Hot Spot mirror removal

Two possible removal items, I had but didn't think of, were dental floss (prompted by fishing line suggestion) and a double edge razor blade.

Less than 15 seconds of seesawing with dental floss splits the paper back to get the mirror off and about 30 seconds of double edge razor work cleans the mirror.

At my age I don't like lengthy projects nor do I buy green bananas.

For those who don't fish, masons's line would likley work well too. Not sure about dental floss...

The reason for the change - I found that some are now made that are adjustable and it be paramount the old man I keep up with technology. Ok, OK so maybe they've been available for 20 years and I am just behind that far.

Best goo remover I've ever found is naphtha. It comes in a can at Wal*Mart marked "Zippo" or "Ronsonol" lighter fuel.

Too flammable for my liking. What paint thinner will not remove, I use "Goodbye Splatters" which comes in a can from Aco Hardware. Label says "contains Xylene and will damage most plastics and automotive paints" but I have used it to remove deck stains from vinyl railings and it doesn't seem to damage them much.
