Block Heater

Magnetic block heaters heat the air but not the engine.
Been there , done that, 6 hours of heating and no joy.

Go frost plug or rad hose.

I tried the smaller magnetic heater 3"x4" 150 watts I attached it to oil pan. Problem is that it accumluated moisture due to fact that there is a gap between steel and plastic housing...Left heater on overnight went up to barn next morning smelled burnt plastic & heater had shorted out melted plastic. Lucky for me it melted and seperated the internal elec connection thus did not burn down barn. The plastic got so hot that it got stringy looked like a messed up smores! So I agree leave mag heater at store! I now use a sillicone 150 watt sticky back Kats heater $38 on the oil pan. Tie wrap cord or you'll break yours off while clearing brush. Sounds like lower hose heater is best bet. Burning down barn with tractor, backhoe attachment, automotive lift, 20+yrs tools and maybe work truck beside barn PRICELESS!!!::eek:
