blowing fuses

I have a Farm Pro 2420 model tractor. I am new at owning a tractor and all has been well. I have 8 hours on my new tractor and now when I try to start it the main fuse blows. My gauges and everything else works till the fuse blows. Can anyone help with this maybe something little causing it. If not I will make the haul back to the dealer. With just 8 hours on it, the dealer should fix it free. It sounds like you have a simple short somewhere -- a wire has come loose and is intermittently grounding out. Call them, they may have an idea where to look.

Thanks for the reply I called them and they said to look at the wires coming off the starter and just my luck they are all taped up but what I could see all was fine so it will be hauled back and let them worry about it maybe it won't take all day with someone that knows what they are doing.

Unless you're hauling it, they might find it cheaper to let the guy driving the truck fix it at your place.

It it is not a short, a weak battery can cause excessive current to flow, thus blowing fuses. Also.. check the fuse value.. some tractors, like NH in particular, have had to have a service bulletin due to having a fuse that was underrated in
the ignition system.. etc. Still.. at 8 hrs.. I wouldn't even turn a bolt on it if it has a warranty...
