Read the original post. Whole road covered with grass/weed clipping. Cant even see the road stripes. Dargo did not post about a little clippings. He posted about a LOT.
No, a few little clippings is not that big a deal. A LOT is. So is the mow/blow folks that purposely blow stuff in to the street.
My area does not freeze, except once or twice a year. In a freeze area, I am sure what you describe is a real issue.
And, I stand by what I said earlier.
If you make a mess, clean it up. Especially if you make a BIG mess.
1 - it makes your property look nicer as a whole
2 - It is pride in ownership
3 - It is a courtesy to others who use the road.
4 - Do your best. Ya, I'm a Scout leader... Is your best to leave a mess on the road?
I mean, honestly, if you have just a few dry clippings, it probably will blow to the side anyways before you even get off the mower. If you have more than that, then tidy up.
Grass clippings are nothing compared to people who run water out onto the streets and roads creating a real dangerous icey hazzard when it freezes.
Dargos Little grass clipping rant is nothing compared to that.
