Picked up the cylinder yesterday afternoon. The mech cleaned up the end threads of the rod. He fabricated a plug that covered the piston hole. He then used 160+ PSI of air to push the piston out of the cylinder. He cleaned everything up, locked tight'd the rod end nut and resealed. $150 for 2 hrs of labor and seals.

I bring it home, look on my work bench and realize in my haste to get the cylinder to the shop before they closed on Monday I forgot to include the rod bushing that goes between the piston and the gland $@#!@$!# !!!!!! I pulled the cylinder back apart Installed the bushing and resealed. Put both cylinders back together (the right cylinder was fine). Started the Bobcat up! Lift works 5.0!

Thanks Dennis for the help. Hope these posts save time for some poor soul out there!

Dustin,

The nut on the left life cylinder piston came off. Fluid was bypassing the piston leading to loss of system pressure.
