I was reading, ok skimming through a WSJ article about 787 reliability which is 98% and they want it to be 99%. OOOOk. The article mentioned that the 787 would be at the airshow so I think the video is real. I did not see anything that unusual in its movements other than the takeoff.
Obama was in town a few years ago and I just happened to leave work when a C17 that was part of the presidential trip took off from RDU. That plane went up at a VERY high angle of attack for some distance, then did a VERY tight right turn. I have seen either a L1011 or DC10 doing similar things at RDU over the years. It was a USAF tanker, I assume from Seymour Johnson AFB, practicing landings at RDU. The tanker was flying low and slow with very tight turns. Frankly, far more impressive than the 787 footage.
