Bolens 944 articulating front mount mower arrived today !!!

I decided today to go ahead and build a new smaller and lighter snowblade for the Bolens project. This one is only 48in. wide and much lighter. :thumbsup:

You can see today I have re-designed the front lift assembly to the center and removed the old side lift one. I also modified the lift handle much closer to a much more comfortable location. Today I will build the plow frame and should get it attached to the new blade.
This project is sure nothing fancy but it has been great fun :cool2:

Today I got the plow frame built and the blade cutting edge mounted and the rest of the blade all welded together . Now I am grinding and sanding
I also raised the blade the first time and the new lever worked great :thumbsup:
I knocked off 40 lbs with this new blade compared to using the other heavier one. :thumbsup:

Today I got the plow frame sanded and painted. This afternoon I will sand and paint the blade yellow.

I got the new blade painted yellow . Now I am working on the wiring mess . Someone ripped some of the wires out and robbed the switch out so lots of wires everywhere. Should be interesting:thumbdown:
I did get the new throttle cable installed and I see one of the exhaust studs is broke off.
I guess those guys that offered this guy $50.00 were right about what it was worth :scratchchin:

Today I worked on the wiring and got sidetracked on the exhaust system . I re designed it from a down pipe with a bottom style muffler to a up pipe with a chrome stack . I got the chrome stack at
a garage sale for $5.00 .:laughing:
