Bolt Trouble

Hello,

Got a bolt that looks like it attaches the front-loader support-frame to the main frame of the tractor that was either not installed properly, stripped or backing out. I've tried tightening it, but a socket will not fit over the bolt as there is little clearance between the frame and the bolt. I've tried turning it with a wrench, but that proves to be very difficult.

Dealer says to back it out, check the bolt and, if not stripped, re-install. That sounds logical, but, due to the aforementioned, it's tough to get at.

Any suggestions?

Try a Crows -foot wrench on it ! ( part of a open end wrench with a square drive for a 3/8" or 1/2" ratchet with a long extension on it . ) It may take awhile but Remember - When the going gets tough , the tough get going !

We use a 19 mm chrome socket because a impact socket will not fit.
I would take the bolt out and check the length and thread pitch
The bolt that is supposed to be in there is a M12 - 1.25 pitch and a length of 30mm
The torque spec for that bolts is min 93 max 112 ft lbs

Once you get it out, can you replace it with a Socket Head Cap Screw like this ?
